Just like subtitling, transcription (or transcribing) is another type of audiovisual translation. It involves a person listening to a recording and writing down the speech in the same language as it is being spoken.
Transcribing is not as easy as it looks like. Good transcriptionists need to have a high level of attention to detail, good listening and researching skills and of course, excellent writing skills – at Gemini we don’t accept one single spelling mistake and we don’t guess abbreviations!
